Notes On The Guitar Neck Chart

Use this chart to help you transpose (change key) scales, chords and arpeggios using the root/tonic as your navigator. For example, look at major scale pattern #4, say you want to play this scale in the key of A, look at the circled dot in the scale pattern chart (sixth string), this is your tonic, now look at the notes on the neck chart and find the note A on the sixth string (fifth fret) either by looking at the complete notes chart or by clicking on the A tab, now match up this note with the circled tonic in the major scale pattern and start the scale, this is now an A major scale.
